BRUNSWICK, MAINE (April 23, 2016)—The Sacred Heart women's rugby team went 0-3 at the Bowdoin 7's tournament this past Saturday closing out the program's inaugural season. Colleen Semenick led the Pioneer offense, scoring five tries throughout three games.

Middlebury 22 – SHU 7

• Middlebury held a 10-0 lead at halftime, and continued to improve its lead in the second half
• Down 22-0, Nicole Bazalar made a switch off the kick off finding Semenick who sprinted over 60 yards to put SHU on the board with a try. The senior tacked on two more points with a good conversion

Boston University 20 – SHU 12

• Semenick scored a pair of tries in the lost
• Margaret Woods also found the try zone for her first career score

Bowdoin 29 – SHU 10

• The hosting Polar Bears struck first, and with a 10-7 lead, expanded their lead with another try
• Again Semenick added two tries for SHU
