Fairfield, CT.- The Sacred Heart mens volleyball team improved to 5-1 as they swept the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus for the second straight night. The men's volleyball team is back at home for the next two games as they take on Lincoln Memorial at 7:00.

The Pioneers were lead by Tom Wisniewski who tallied eight kills, and Bobby Costigan who tallied seven kills. The First set of the night SHU jumped to an early lead as Taylor Bloomquist gave the Pioneers back to back aces to move the score to 4-3 in favor of SHU. The Pioneers continued to get kill, after kill to win the first set 25-14.

The second set of the night was a closer one, as the Battlers held the score at 19-19. The Pioneers wouldl hold on as they were lead by Wisniewski who finished the set with a pair of kills to hold the score 25-21. The final set of the night was all Blake Cox who had multiple kills, and aces. Eduardo Zardo assisted the Pioneers to a clean sweep as they took the last set 25-23.
