Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn.– The Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team and LIU met for the second time this season, but unfortunately for the Pioneers the result was flipped. SHU returned to Northeast Conference action with a 13-10 loss to the Sharks on Saturday.

A slow first quarter began the game with just three goals scored and one coming from Drew Edwards to make the score 2-1 heading into the second.
After SHU took the 3-2 lead off a pair of goals by Ben Palanchi and Sal Miccio to kick off the second quarter, LIU answered with a pair of their own to take a 4-3 lead and closed the opening half with a 6-5 lead.
SHU was able to tie the game up at 8-8 to close the third quarter with goals coming from Drew Edwards, and a pair from Logan Liljeberg for his second hat-trick of the year. LIU would command the final quarter nailing five goals while SHU was only able to salvage three to lead to a 13-10 Sharks victory.
LIU had a slight edge in shots (31-28), but was able to claim 35 ground balls while holding SHU to just 23SHU did force the Sharks into 12 turnovers.
