Sacred Heart was slow to start the game as it was held to just eight field goals in the first half. The Pioneers turned the ball over 13 times, resulting in 13 points for the Knights.

Olivia Tucker three at the 4:51 mark in the third quarter pulled the Pioneers within three, but the Knights responded with six-straight free throws as 12 of its 14 third quarter-points came from the stripe. SHU's defense held FDU to just one field goal in the third frame.
The Pioneers got as close as two points to start the fourth quarter until the Knights posted a 9-1 run to grow to their largest lead of the day, 64-52, in the final two minutes.
FDU shot 19-of 56 (33.9%) from the field and 24-of 58 (85.7%) from the free-throw line compared to Sacred Heart with 20-of-58 (34.5%) and 11-of-12 (91.7%) at the stripe. FDU scored 14 of its points off 18 SHU turnovers.
Adrianne Hagood led Sacred Heart with 14 points.
Olivia Tucker finished with 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds.
Sonia Smith notched seven points along with a career-high 10 rebounds and five assists.
