BOCA RATON, Fla.— Looking to leave Florida on a high note, the Sacred Heart University women's basketball team competes against Florida Atlantic on day two of the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. on CUSA.TV.
 
OPENING TIP

• Sacred Heart faces its first Conference-USA opponent in a decade and the first under head coach Jessica Mannetti. The Pioneers have yet to win against an opponent from the conference.
• Sacred Heart has played against two C-USA (former) teams in program history: Cincinnati (now in American) in 2001 and Marquette (now in Big East) in 2002.
• The Pioneers are second in the Northeast Conference in offensive rebounds with 13.0 per game and third in rebounds overall at 38.3.
• Ny'Ceara Pryor is leading Sacred Heart with 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 4.5 steals per game in her inaugural college season. She leads the NEC and is ranked fourth nationally in steals (27) and steals per game.
• Carly Stroemel is currently the leader in the NEC in blocks (7) and blocks per game (1.2). The senior is also nationally ranked at 93nd in total blocks.
• Mannetti enters her 10th season as head coach. She holds a 128-138 (.481) overall record and 95-67 (.586) in Northeast Conference play.
• The Pioneers were picked to finish sixth in the NEC Preseason Poll.
