FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's basketball team heads to FDU for the battle of 1 vs 2 on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
 
OPENING TIP
  • Sacred Heart looks to sweep this season's series against FDU in Hackensack. The Pioneers hold a 12-10 edge when playing at the Rothman Center.
  • Last time both teams met, Sacred Heart came away with a 71-62 victory over FDU at the Pitt Center. The win also marked the 100th NEC win for head coach Jessica Mannetti.
  • The Pioneers are off to their best conference start since the 2016-17 season with an 8-2 record. Sacred Heart looks to finish in the top rankings for the seventh time in program history.
  • SHU is second in the NEC in offensive rebounds with 12.0 per game and fourth in combined rebounds with 35.8 per game.
  • Pryor became the first player in program and NEC history to be selected to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist. The first year is an 11-time NEC Rookie of the Week, two-time NEC Player of the Week and five-time Met Basketball Writer's Association Honorable Mention honoree. Pryor is the leader in the nation in steals per game (4.3) and steals overall (100), in addition to being the leader in the conference in scoring (17.9). Pryor has scored 20+ points in 10 games.
  • Sajada Bonner leads the Pioneers and is third in the NEC with 46 three-pointers made. The graduate student notched a career-high six triples against SFBK.
