Sacred Heart Hosts Saint Francis for Think Pink Game

Tipoff set for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row

FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's basketball team hosts its annual Think Pink Game against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row with Randy Brochu and TJ O'Sullivan on the call.
 
OPENING TIP
  • Sacred Heart looks to sweep the series against Saint Francis at home. The Pioneers hold a 16-7 advantage over the Red Flash when playing at the Pitt Center.
  • SHU looks to get back in the win column after its second conference loss of the season at CCSU. Ny'Ceara Pryor recorded her 10th 20+ point performance with a game-high 21 points.
  • The Pioneers are off to their best conference start since the 2016-17 season with an 8-2 record. Sacred Heart looks to finish in the top rankings for the seventh time in program history.
  • SHU leads the NEC in offensive rebounds with 12.0 per game and third in
    combined rebounds with 35.8 per game.
  • Pryor became the first player in program and NEC history to be selected to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist. The first year is a 10-time NEC Rookie of the Week, two-time NEC Player of the Week and four-time Met Basketball Writer's Association Honorable Mention honoree. Pryor is the leader in the nation in steals per game (4.2) and second in steals (92), in addition to being the leader in the conference in scoring (18.0). Pryor has scored 20+ points in 10 games.
  • Sajada Bonner leads the Pioneers and is third in the NEC with 44 three-pointers made. The graduate student notched a career-high six triples against SFBK.
