NORWALK, Conn.—The Sacred Heart University equestrian team celebrated senior day at the final event of their regular IHSA season at home at Silvermine Farm. The Pioneers won, earning the team its ninth Zone I Region V Championship title in 11 years.  

Ahead by three points going into the competition, the Pioneers rallied together in a battle with UConn to determine the Zone I Region V Championship. Led by their senior class, the Pioneer's focus, and determination drove the team effort to earn the high score of the day with 45 points over the Huskies' 43 to seal the championship by a total of five points across the season.
