FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart men's volleyball team fell to Merrimack at home Saturday night, 4-1. The Pioneers break their winning streak and are 3-1 heading into conference play.

How It Happened:
The Pioneers secured the first set 25-20. SHU kept within two points of Merrimack until tying things up at the media timeout. The Pios pulled away in the second half of the set going on an 11-5 run.
Aleksa Mandic secured the set with a kill.
Merrimack pulled away early in the second and SHU was unable to respond falling 25-19.
The Warriors secured an early five-point lead in the third. SHU was able to come within three but ultimately fell 25-20.
The fourth match was closely contested with nine ties. The Warriors went on a 9-3 run to secure the set 25-20.
