BRUNSWICK, Maine – In its final 7s tournament of the regular season, the Sacred Heart University women's rugby team had two squads competing at the Polar Bear 7s at Bowdoin University on Sunday. SHU Red went 4-0, while SHU Gray went 2-1.
SHU RED
Sacred Heart vs Bowdoin – (W, 36-0)
The Pioneers jumped to a 26-0 lead at the half, highlighted by a pair of tries from
Caitlyn Caldon. Caldon added her third of the day to open the second half, and
Olivia Woods added a try as Sacred Heart defeated Bowdoin 36-0.
Sacred Heart vs New Haven – (W, 43-7)
Sacred Heart had a dominating 43-7 victory over the University of New Haven for its second straight win of the day.
Sacred Heart vs Brown (W, 22-12)
After Brown scored a try and had a good conversion first to open the scoring,
Fabiola Millien-Faustin scored a try for the Pios to pull within two, 7-5. Brown added one more, but
Olivia Woods added her second try of the tournament to pull Sacred Heart within two once again, 12-10 at the halftime break.
Alyssa Cunningham had a try and good conversion, and
Megan Chura also added a try to secure Sacred Heart's 22-12 victory over Brown.
Sacred Heart vs Northeastern (W, 48-0)
In its final game of the day, Sacred Heart had a dominating 48-0 victory over Northeastern.

Sacred Heart vs Brown (L, 26-5)
The Sacred Heart gray team had its lone loss of the day, falling to Brown 26-5. Brown got on the board first, but
Josie O'Donnell scored a try to tie the game 5-5. Brown had a pair of tries and one good conversion to extend their lead at the half.
Brown scored once more in the second half for the 26-5 final.
Sacred Heart vs Northeastern (W, 41-0)
The Pioneers shut out Northeastern in the second game of the day 41-0.
Hayley Galbraith scored a try, and
Viola Koning had a good conversion to get the scoring started for a 7-0 lead.
Julia Arnone had one try, and O'Donnell added a pair to close out the half for a 22-0 lead at the break.
Arnone completed her hat trick with two more tries in the second half. Koning made two conversions, and
Reagan Vander-Heide had a try for the 41-0 final.
Sacred Heart vs Northeastern (W, 41-0)
The Pioneers closed out the day with another 41-0 victory over Northeastern.
Erin Croke scored the first try of the game, and Galbraith had a good conversion to give SHU a 7-0 lead. Arnone, O'Donnell, and
Caroline Woelfel each had a try in the opening half, and Koning had a good conversion as Sacred Heart held a 24-0 lead at halftime.
Croke and Koning each had a try, and Koning also made a conversion as the Pioneers went on to take the 41-0 victory.
