    WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team earned its second win of the season, defeating William & Mary 7-3 Friday afternoon on the road. Stephen Thibault and Austin Markmann drove in a run apiece, while Joe Emerson tallied three RBI’s. Cooper Thompson got the start and earned the win, giving up one unearned run on one hit and striking out three in six innings of work.

    Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team was shutout in a 4-0 loss to BIG Ten powerhouse Illinois. The Pioneers had five different players record a hit in the loss. Ryan LaMay got the start and took the loss, giving up one earned run on one hit and striking out three in 4.2 innings of work.
  • Baseball Walks-Off Against Georgetown, 6-5

    Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team scored five unanswered runs in the final three innings to secure a 6-5 walk-off win over Georgetown to earn the first win of the 2019 season. The Pioneers had five different players drive in a run in the win, with Stephen Thibault driving in two. Jackson Aldam earned the win, tossing 1.1 innings of shutout ball in relief.

    Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team fell to No. 20 Wake Forest, 14-1, in the 2019 season-opener on Friday afternoon. The Pioneers had four different players record a hit, with Austin Markmann’s two hits leading the way. Dan Fallacaro drove in the lone run for the Pioneers.
