FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sacred Heart University men's basketball senior captain Sean Hoehn was featured in the New Haven Register, in the build up to tonight's home NEC Quarterfinal game with sixth-seeded LIU Brooklyn at 6 p.m.
Hoehn was featured in Wednesday's edition of the New Haven Register by reporter Jim Fuller. The feature focused on Hoehn's season as a whole and how he is in a position as the lone senior on the roster to lead a young, inexperienced SHU men's basketball team to its first even NCAA Tournament appearance.
Hoehn became the eighth player in program-history to earn All-NEC First Team honors after finishing third in the NEC in scoring with 17.9 points per game. Hoehn shot 47.2% from the field and 41.4% from three this season, which ranked 12th and fourth in the NEC respectively. Hoehn has scored in double-figures in 27 of the Pioneers' 31 games, leading the team in scoring in 14 games and dropping at least 20 points in 11 of the 27 contests. Hoehn has scored 1,349 career points, which is 23rd on the program's all-time scoring list.
