SHU Men's Golf Rounds Out Play at Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate

VERONA, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart University men's golf team concluded its play at the annual Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate at Turning Stone Resort & Casino, finishing ninth out of 18 teams on Monday.

The Pioneers finished with a team score of +36 and a 900 total. Tournament host Missouri finished in first with a score of 16-under par. North Dakota State finished in second as they shot 13-over par for the weekend.

Saptak Talwar led the Pioneers scoring group as he finished tied for 13th at 3-over par. Talwar's best round came in round two, where he shot a 69 on Par-72. Nathan Kim finished tied for 40th at 10-over par. Alex Manner followed, tied for 42nd after shooting 11-over par. Hector Gutierrez shot 20-over par and Clifford Lindholm rounded out the SHU group at 14-over.

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday when they take part in the Ryan T Lee Collegiate at Hop Meadow Country Club in Simsbury, Conn.
