HARTFORD, Conn. — The Sacred Heart University men's golf team concluded its play at the Hartford Invitational, finishing seventh out of 20 teams on Tuesday.
The Pioneers finished with a team score of +9 and a 585 total. University of Central Florida won the invitational, finishing -26 and a 550 total.
Clifford Lindholm led the way for the Pioneers, finishing tied for 12th out of 112 competitors, shooting 3-under par. Lindholm shot best in the second round as he shot 7-under par.
Nathan Kim finished tied for 28th in the tournament after shooting 1-over par for the weekend. Kim shot 2-over par in the first round and 1-under in round two for a total score of 145.
Saptak Talwar shot a 75 and a 74 for a total score of 149, which tied him for 47th. Alex Manner finished right behind him, shooting a 150 for the tournament. Jake Sullivan rounded out play for the Pioneers, with a total score of 155.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 29 when they take part in the MacDonald Cup, held at the course at Yale in New Haven.
