SOMERSET, N.J.-The Northeast Conference announced the seeding's and bracket for the 2019 Men's Tennis Championships. The tournament begins on Thursday, April 18th at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J., with the semifinals on Friday and the final being played on Saturday.
The Pioneers earned the fourth-seed after posting a 6-12 dual record, with an 3-2 mark in league play. The Pioneers begin their championship quest Thursday, April 18th at some time after 12:30 p.m. versus the fifth-seed, Mount Saint Mary's. SHU earned a 4-3 decision against the Mount in early April, with the Pioneers taking four singles matches with senior Bryan Einstoss tallying the game winner to give the Pioneers the 4-3 victory.
Third-seeded Fairleigh Dickinson will take on St. Francis Brooklyn in the other quarterfinal on the Pioneers side of the bracket. That match is also scheduled be played on Thursday.
Bryant earned the top-seed in the tournament and receives a bye into Saturday's semifinals as well as Wagner who earned the two seed and a first round bye.
The NEC Men's Tennis Championship is played in conjunction with the league's women's championship. Admission is free to both tournaments.
