Men's Tennis Finishes Matches at CT State Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Men's Tennis team completed its matches at the CT State Championships this afternoon. SHU will return to action in the new year when the Pioneers host Boston University on January 25. Matches begin at 5:30 p.m. 

The Pioneers swept doubles matches today as the duo of senior Seiji Hosokawa and William Wibmer defeated Alan Sou and Arnav Dhingra of Yale 6-3. Meanwhile sophomore Ayman Khan and first-year Matic Podlipnik defeated Barilla and Montufar of Boston College 6-3.

In singles, Hosokawa was able to edge Sou in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 while Khan picked up a victory over Jan Parizek of Fairfield 6-4, 6-7 (3), 10-5.
