Picard, Shilleh PB's Showcase Indoor New England's

The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team competed at the 2019 New England Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. A pair of personal-bests from Corey Picard and Moetiz Shilleh highlighted the team performance.

SHU returns to action on Saturday at the 14thAnnual Giegengack Invitational at Coxe Cage in New Haven, Conn.

  • Picard ran the 5,000m in a time of 16:20.26, a personal-best 
  • Shilleh crossed the line in the 1,000m with a time of 2:33.97, for his personal-best
  • Christian Turner placed 12thin the shot put, with a throw of 14.73m, and remains ranked second in the NEC shot put standings
  • Jeffrey Young ran an 8.66 in his 60m hurdle prelim race, a season-best, and ranks him sixth in the NEC
