PRINCETON, N.J. – The Sacred Heart men's outdoor track and field took part in the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton University, on Saturday afternoon.
- Jeffrey Young qualified for the finals of the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.05 seconds in the preliminary and finished seventh in the finals with a time of 15.16 seconds
- Young's time of 15.05 currently ranks sixth in the NEC rankings
- Michael Kearns and Christian Turner both met New England qualifying standards in the shot put, placing 11th and 12th, respectively
- Kearns' best throw of the day was 15.81m (2nd in the NEC) while Turner's best was 15.50m (3rd NEC)
Next up for the Pioneers is a busy weekend as SHU is participating in three different events across three days starting with The Mount Multis Heptathlon & Decathlon (April 11-12) as well as the George Mason Springtime Invitational and the Rider Invitational on April 13th.
