Jon Fausey Named New Assistant Wrestling Coach

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- Sacred Heart University second-year head wrestling coach John Clark announced the addition of Jon Fausey as the Pioneers assistant coach. Fausey will assist in the day-to-day operations of the program, and will aid in practice planning and coaching and recruiting.

"Coach Atwood and I are very excited to welcome coach Jon Fausey to the staff! Coach Fausey epitomized what it means to be a student-athlete at University of Virginia and will be a tremendous role-model to the student-athletes on our team!"

Fausey is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he was a four year wrestler from 2011-2015. He was an ACC Champion in 2012 in the 184 pound weight class while he qualified for the NCAA tournament every year as a student athlete for the Cavilers. He tallied a career record 98-36 overall while compiling a record of 52-13 in dual meets. Fausey earned bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and masters in kinesiology.
