FAIRFIELD, CONN. (September 2, 2015)—Sacred Heart Women's Basketball Head Coach Jessica Mannetti announced the addition of Ali Heller to the 2015-16 coaching staff Wednesday morning. Heller will share recruiting and scouting responsibilities, as well as serve as the team's travel, video and community service coordinator.

"[Heller] brings a great level of energy and enthusiasm to our program as a bright and sharp young coach in the business," said Mannetti. "She is a great addition to our program and has already made quite an impression with our team."

Heller, a 2012 graduate of Rider University, comes to SHU after spending the last two seasons as a part of Rick Pietri's staff at Jacksonville State assisting with the JSU backcourt. Under her leadership, the 2014-15 Gamecocks were among the best in the country at handling the ball ranking fourth in Division I averaging 11.2 turnovers per game.

Prior to JSU, Heller got her start in collegiate coaching at Lynn University assisting with daily practices, recruiting, film exchange and community service.

A four-letter winner at Rider, Heller appeared in over 90 games for the Broncs and eclipsed the 450 career points marker. During her junior year, she earned the MAAC Sixth Player of the Year Award while averaging eight points per game, 1.14 assists per game and posting a .433 3-point field goal percentage.
