The Sacred Heart women's basketball team is tied for first in the NEC, posting a 9-2 record. As they approach the midway point of conference play, the Pioneers look to take on the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights this Monday in the Stratis Arena at 1:00pm.

Kimmel vs. The Knights...

Hannah Kimmel has posted double digit scoring against the Knights in four of her six games, averaging 11 PPG. The Knights have managed to hold Kimmel to her lowest scoring average against an NEC team in her career. The Knights had trouble-holding Kimmel in last season as Kimmel posted 16, and 10 points in the two matchups. Kimmel has been on a tear this season, sitting 5th in the NEC averaging 15.2 PPG.


Back To Winning Ways...

The Pioneers have jumped off to a great start to NEC play, posting a 9-3 record thus far. Despite having a minor hiccup to Mount St. Mary's where they Pioneers fell 61-59, they are back to their winning ways. Sacred Heart didn't skip a beat as they battled the Bulldogs of Bryant on Saturday where they came out with the upper hand, 66-59.


She Can Do It All...

Hannah Kimmel was dominant in all categories last game against the Bryant Bulldogs. Kimmel who finished with 15 points, has posted double digit scoring in her last six straight performances. In Saturdays game Kimmel lead the Pioneers in assists (5), steals (5), and blocks (2).


Downtown Funk...

 Kelcey Castro posted a new career high in Saturday's outing against the Bulldogs where she finished the night with 17 points. Castro kicked the game off going 2-2 from beyond the arc within the first three minutes. Castro finished the night shooting .555 (5-9) from downtown, and .500 from the field (5-10).
