  • Women's Bowling Picked First in NEC 2019-20 Preseason Poll

    FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's bowling team was picked to finish first in the NEC Bowling Preseason Coaches' Poll, released by the league on Thursday. The Pioneers were picked to finish second last season and ended up winning the NEC Tournament to earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. SHU defeated Caldwell in the opening round, then followed with an upset over top-seeded Vanderbilt, before being defeated by Nebraska and University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
  • Women's Bowling Tabbed 11th in NTCA Preseason Coaches Poll

    FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart Pioneers women's bowling team was ranked No. 11 in the nation by the National Tenpin Coaches Association in the 2018-19 Preseason Poll as announced by the association this week. The Pioneers open the season ranked 11th after concluding the season at No. 12. Two‐time National Champion, Vanderbilt University, enters the 2019‐20 season ranked No.1, followed by McKendree University at two and defending champions Stephen F. Austin come in at No. 3.
