MANCHESTER, N.H.- Sacred Heart University Women's hockey senior goaltender Sarah Erban was for the fourth time this season, named NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week.
She tallied 32 saves in the weekend series against St. Michael's, picking up two wins in net for the Pioneers to improve her overall record to 16-4-4 on the year. She only allowed a total of one goal over the weekend allowing Sacred Heart to head into the NEWHA Tournament with a final regular season.
The Pioneers kick off the NEWHA tournament on Saturday Feb. 23 when SHU takes on Franklin Pierce. Puck-drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
