  • Busch Named to COSIDA Academic All-America Second Team

    Sacred Heart University Women's Soccer sophomore student Hannah Busch was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American Women's Soccer Second Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday, December 5, 2019. Busch wins her first career CoSIDA Academic All-American honor and becomes the first player in program history to earn the distinctive academic honor.

    The Sacred Heart University Women’s Soccer team picked up its fourth straight Northeast Conference victory this afternoon as the Pioneers defeated LIU by a final score of 2-0. The win is also the Pioneers second straight shutout victory as SHU defeated Mount Saint Mary’s on Oct. 20 3-0. SHU returns to action on Sunday Oct. 27 when the Pioneers travel to take on Bryant. Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m.

The win improves the Pioneers to 5-4-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the league, while the Terriers fall to 0-10 on the year and 0-3 in NEC action. SHU will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 6 when the Pioneers host Fairleigh Dickinson. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
