Swimming Posts Four Career-Best Efforts On Day Two Of Frank Elm Invitational

The Sacred Heart University swim team posted four career-best swims on the second day of the Frank Elm Invitational at Rutgers University on Saturday. The Pioneers have posted nine career-best times in two days, to go along with 13 season-best efforts.  The event concludes on Sunday.

The Relays

The Pioneers 200 yard medley relay placed 23rd in a time of 1:52.83

Olivia Decas (1:52.92) and Jillian Crosby (1:54.90) had the second and third fastest splits of NEC members on their legs of the 800 freestyle relay, which went a midseason best time of 7:55.00.  

The 100 Breaststroke

Jessica Poole swam in the D-Final and finished 32nd after swimming a collegiate-best 1:09.80 in prelims

Julia Pedereson (1:11.97) and Dee Henry (1:15.70) both swam career-best times, while Renee Russo (1:11.79) notched a collegiate best swim

The 400 IM

Poole just missed a second evening swim, finishing 33rd in prelims with a 4:45.89, a career-best

The 100 Butterfly

Siobhan Goodman was the top finisher with a season-best 1:01.25 preliminary swim

Jessica Rice had her best 100 fly swim as a collegiate, recording a time of 1:09.24

The 200 Freestyle

Jillian Crosby went 1:56.27, her best time of the season, as the Pioneers top finisher

Kaylyn Cuozzo's time of 2:06.65 is a career-best

The 100 Backstroke

Oliva Decas was a .01 off a midseason best swim, leading the backstrokers with a 59.78

Anna Brown was .15 off of her collegiate-best, touching a 1:00.21, while Emily Shenk (1:02.77) and Rice (1:07.99) both posted season-best efforts, with Rice's swim a collegiate-best.
