Records Break as Multiple SHU Swimmers Crush Pentathlon Records

MILFORD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Swimming and Diving Team wrapped up it's annual Pentathlon at the McCann Natatorium in Milford, Connecticut.  

Nicole Tingley was named the champion of the Pentathlon as we won the 200 individual melody and set the new record. Taylor Eck came in second place but also broke a Pentathlon record in the 100 meter backstroke. Fiona Maxwell came in third place overall which is the second time in a row she has finished in the top three.  

Two more records were broken as Julia Pusateri brook the 100 meter breaststroke record. Meanwhile Lauren Somers broke the 100 meter freestyle record. 

The team kicks off the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 13 when the team hosts Central Connecticut State and LIU Post. The meet is set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
