Sacred Heart redshirt freshman Gaelyn Kattman has been named the Northeast Conference's Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
Kattman helped SHU defend its team title at the Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday, helping the team edge out meet host, and fellow NEC rival Central Connecticut. Kattman finished 10th overall out of a total of 82 runners, finishing the 5K in personal-record time of 19:08.1. She was one of four SHU runners to finish in the top 10 overall.
Kattman previously took home the same honor on Sept. 12, following the Nassaney Invitational.
The Pioneers will next compete at the New England Cross Country Championships on Oct. 6 at Franklin Park in Boston.
