Wayne Adams

Wayne Adams is in his fourth year as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sacred Heart. He oversees and implements the year-round strength and conditioning programs for Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, Wrestling, and Track and Field. 

Adams came to Sacred Heart after serving as a Graduate Assistant for Strength and Conditioning at Morehead State University where he completed his Master’s Degree in Health and Human Performance. While there he designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for six of Morehead State's varsity programs, including baseball, tennis, and men's golf while assisting with seven other sports. 

A 2010 graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. in Kinesiology, Adams served as an intern at James Madison before working as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at Wake Forest and the University of Richmond. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, as well as a Level 1 USA Weightlifting Club Coach. Adams also has SCCC National Certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA).
