FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Kibwe Trim had game-highs of 25 points and 10 rebounds as Sacred Heart beat Army 76-62 Monday to stop a four-game losing streak.
Sacred Heart (2-5) trailed by 10 points in the first half and didn't take a second-half lead until more than seven minutes had passed.
The Pioneers moved in front with runs of 8-0 and 11-0, capped by Trim's dunk off a feed from Tavio Hobson. Sacred Heart built a 62-45 advantage with 4:21 left.
Trim scored 17 points in the second half and recorded his second straight double-double. Jarrid Frye added 22 points, including 18 after halftime. Last season, Sacred Heart didn't win its second game until Jan. 22.
Army (3-4) was led by Matt Bell, who scored 15 points. Corban Bates added 13 and Colin Harris 12.
The Black Knights made 11 of their first 18 shots, but they didn't score over the final 5:31 of the first half, allowing Sacred Heart to cut its deficit from 10 to one.
