SHU Ties Mount St. Mary's 0-0

Emmitsburg, MD – The Sacred Heart Women's Soccer team and Mount ST. Mary's tied 0-0 Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers finished their weekend road trip with a win and a tie under their belt.  The Pioneers record now stands at 5-7-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the NEC. Neither team could score a goal through 120 minutes of play.

The Pioneers logged five more shots than the Mountaineers, shooting the ball 17 times. Sacred Heart goalkeeper Sydney Judkins (South Park, PA) recorded three saves in her second shutout of the year. Sophomore midfielder Kristin Verrette (Saugus,MA) had four shots for the Pioneers putting two of them on goal. Senior forward Ashley Moore (Levittown, NY) also had four shots, putting one of them on target. Mount St. Mary's goalkeepers Rachel Bourne and Vicky Cocozzo combined for five saves, shutting the door on SHU.

The Pioneers will now return home for a clash with the Bryant Bulldogs on Friday night at Campus Field.
