Box Score 2 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Sacred Heart University Softball team (2-1) earned its first wins of the season keeping both Indiana State, 4-0, and host Chattanooga, 8-0, out of the scoring column on day two of the Chattanooga Challenge, Friday afternoon at Frost Stadium.

Top of the 1st inning - Katelyn Christian reached first on a fielding error and advanced to second as Lauren Delgadillo was able to score, 1-0.
Top of the 1st inning – Graduate student, Kelyn Fillmore, singled to right field (RBI) as sophomore Katelyn Christian scored unearned, 2-0.
Top of the 1st inning – Sophomore Cierra Casale singled up the middle (RBI) and junior Stephanie Mangiameli was able to advance to second base. Senior Hannah Ford moved ahead to third and Fillmore scored unearned, 3-0.
Top of the 4th inning – Casale homered to left field (RBI), 4-0.
Top of the 5th inning – Senior Fallon Bevino singled to left center, advanced to second following the throw (RBI). Classmate Stephanie Appelberg scored, unearned, 5-0
Top of the 5th inning – Bevino reached first on a muffed throw by first base and advanced to third. Appelberg scored, unearned, 6-0.
Top of the 5th inning – Mangiamelli reached first on a muffed throw by first base and advanced to second, Ford scored, unearned. Bevino scored, unearned.

- Junior pitcher Kristen McCann credited her first victory of the season as the only pitcher featured for SHU.
- Casale led the Pioneers with a pair of hits and two RBIs. Fillmore, Bevino, and Ford also recorded a hit each. Fillmore and Bevino added one RBI apiece.
Noteworthy…
- The loss becomes the second for Chattanooga against a Northeast Conference member. The Mocs fell to Fairleigh Dickinson two games ago, 9-5.
