Kills from Jasmine Rogers and Dominique Felix as well as a Rogers' ace allowed SHU to go on a 4-0 run to take the first set. The Pioneers did not commit an attacking error in the set as they hit .630.

Four players posted double-digit kills, topped by Olivia Fairchild's team-high 14. Rogers produced a 10-kill, 13-dig double-double. Setter Sarah Ciszek just missed a triple double with 44 assists, 10 digs and nine kills as well as five blocks.
