- The Pioneers jumped on the board first in the opening half with a goal coming off the foot of sophomore Meadow Mancini at 12:54 in the game to put SHU ahead 1-0.
- Mancini struck again in the second half off a feed from sophomore Michelle Clarkin at 50:08 into the game to put the Pioneers ahead 2-0.
- Clarkin would then want to score her first goal of the year as she ripped SHU's third of the game off an assist by Desiree Crawford just five minutes later to put SHU ahead 3-0.
- First-year Maria Nolan would score her first career goal as a Pioneer in the closing minutes of the game to seal the 4-0 win.
- The Pioneers aimed more shots on goal in the game 7-5.
