Siena took an early lead 22 minutes into the first half when Danielle Borrino fired a shot from outside the box past Kipperman.
Medeiros and O'Hara netted their first collegiate goals within five minutes of each other to push the Pioneers past the Saints. Medeiros first found the back of the net in the 72
nd minute off a restart to even the score at 1-all. Then at the 75:37 mark, O'Hara carried the ball down the right side and snuck it past the Siena keeper to give SHU the edge.
Sacred Heart erupted for 15 shots in the second half as the squad outshot Siena, 19-8. O'Hara led the team with seven followed by
Azria Malloy with four.
Desiree Crawford,
Jaci Budaj and Medeiros each tallied two apiece.
Meadow Mancini and
Anna Ludkiewicz each posted one.
Today's win marks the first time in history that the Pioneers took down the Saints after a 2-2 draw in 2008.
