NEW HAVEN, Conn. — In its first home game at Johnson Field since 2019, the Sacred Heart University field hockey team was topped, 1-0, by Georgetown in overtime on Friday.
The Pioneers fell to 0-3 while Georgetown won its second game of the season.

Isabelle Chamberlain led the Red & White with three of the team's five shots but couldn't muster a goal.Â

The Hoyas outshot Sacred Heart, 11-5, and took eight corners compared to SHU's five.

The scoreboard wore double zeros through regulation until the opening second of overtime when Ali Cronin converted on a penalty corner for the win.

The team travels to Holy Cross on September 12, with puck drop at 1 p.m.
