FAIRFIELD, CONN. – A fast start led the Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team to its fifth win in a row. The Pioneers blanked Stonehill 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-15) on Saturday at the Pitt Center.

The Pioneers' offense was clicking in set one as the hosts hit .609 with only two errors and 16 kills. For the match, Sacred Heart had a .383-to-.121 advantage and limited the Skyhawks to a .031 rate in the final set.

Sacred Heart found itself in a 17-15 deficit in set two, but responded with a 7-0 run that included two
Brooke Jeffrey kills. SHU put the match out of reach thanks to a 9-1 run in the middle of set three that was helped by five Stonehill errors.

The only player to reach double-digit kills was setter
Sarah Ciszek as she notched a 29-assist, 12-kill double-double. Jeffrey followed with eight winners as she just missed her third-straight match of 10 or more kills.
