FAIRFIELD, CONN. – A fast start led the Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team to its fifth win in a row. The Pioneers blanked Stonehill 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-15) on Saturday at the Pitt Center.

Of Note:
The Pioneers' offense was clicking in set one as the hosts hit .609 with only two errors and 16 kills. For the match, Sacred Heart had a .383-to-.121 advantage and limited the Skyhawks to a .031 rate in the final set.
 
Sacred Heart found itself in a 17-15 deficit in set two, but responded with a 7-0 run that included two Brooke Jeffrey kills. SHU put the match out of reach thanks to a 9-1 run in the middle of set three that was helped by five Stonehill errors.
 
The only player to reach double-digit kills was setter Sarah Ciszek as she notched a 29-assist, 12-kill double-double. Jeffrey followed with eight winners as she just missed her third-straight match of 10 or more kills.
