- In the second period, Canisius found the back of the net twice coming off the sticks of Lee Lapid and Alex Ambrosio to give the Golden Griffins the 2-0 lead.
- Canisius scored one more time on an empty net goal to take a 3-0 lead in the third period.
- Austin Magera would avoid the shutout with his ninth goal of the season in the closing minutes of the game.
