TEANECK, N.J.- The Sacred Heart University softball team split its Saturday series against Fairleigh Dickinson as the Pioneers took game one 6-4 and fell in game two 9-1.

Of Note:
- The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead in the top off the first inning off an error by the right fielder which scored in Jenna Mowad.
- The Knights countered with a home run by Cassidy Triska to even the score at 1-1 after the first inning.
- FDU took a 2-1 lead in the second inning off an error by the center fielder which scored in Triska to give the Knights the lead.
- After a scoreless third inning, the Pioneers launched three solo home runs coming off the bats of Alyssa Gonzalez, Kylee Harvey and Kira Ferraiolo to give the Pioneers a 4-2 lead.
- The Knights narrowed the lead to 4-3 in the bottom half of the inning as Angela Costa ripped an RBI double to left field.
- The Pioneers brought the lead to three runs as Jenna Mowad launched a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give the Pioneers the 6-3 lead and eventual 6-4 victory.
- Four of the six Pioneer hits were home runs.

- The Knights took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Cassidy Triska and Hailey Ramberg each launched home runs in the inning.
- The Pioneers began a comeback in the third inning as Grace Saad ripped a triple to right field scoring in Jenna Mowad to narrow the FDU lead to 3-1.
- FDU brought the lead back to three off a solo home run by Jess Dewitt to give the Knights a 4-1 edge in the bottom of the third.
- The Knights tallied five more runs coming in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings off an two RBI double, an error and a two-run home run to secure the 9-1 victory.
