FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team showed a tremendous effort on defense but came up short against Army, 1-0, on Saturday.

Of Note
The first half was scoreless thanks to defense from both sides. Army capitalized on a goal with a header from Joey Hickson off the assist from Atef Sikazwe in the 78
th minute.
 
The Pioneers outshot the Black Knights 21-7 with 5-2 on target. 
David Garcia Gallego led with a career-high four shots.
