With a 35-35 tie just over three minutes into the second half, Reilly knocked down his first of three, three-pointers in a 15-4 run as the Pioneers took a 50-39 lead. The lead was the largest lead and only double-digit lead of the game.

The Red Flash answered as they scored the next seven points to cut their deficit to four at 50-46. Sacred Heart maintained the lead, going up by seven with 3:56 left in the game. Saint Francis had a three-point play off an and-one situation with 1:43 left to bring the Red Flash within three, but neither team scored for the remainder of the game, as Sacred Heart handed Saint Francis its first conference loss of the season.
