EASTON, Mass.— The Sacred Heart men's basketball team came up short on the road, falling to Stonehill 82-81, in a Northeast Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers had three players score in double figures, and
Nico Galette recorded his fourth double-double.

Nico Galette recorded his fourth double-double, his second in the last two games, as he scored 18 points with 13 rebounds.
Raheem Solomon and
Joey Reilly also scored 18 points for Sacred Heart, as all three led the Pioneers in scoring.
After a 5-5 tie three minutes into the game,
Mike Sixsmith knocked down a three, followed by back-to-back triples from Reilly as the Pioneers went on a 9-0 run, taking a 14-5 lead at 15:35.
Reilly fired off his third three-pointer of the game so far, which gave Sacred Heart a 12-point lead at 13:31.
Raymond Espinal-Guzman made a dunk at 6:53 to give the Pioneers a 13-point lead, its largest lead of the game, 32-19 at 6:53.
Sacred Heart maintained a lead throughout the remainder of the half, holding a 40-33 advantage at halftime.
Stonehill came out strong after halftime, going on a 23-3 run to take a 51-43 lead over the Pioneers.
The Skyhawks went on to take a 14-point lead, 64-50, at 7:14. Stonehill held a double-digit lead until Reilly made a layup for SHU at 4:09, cutting the deficit to eight, 72-64. Solomon followed up with back-to-back free throws to bring the Pioneers within six, 72-66, but Stonehill answered and went up by 10, 76-66, with 3:11 left in the game.
Sacred Heart spent the final minute of the game climbing out of a 10-point deficit, Galette and Womack were able to make two layups in the final 16 and five seconds to bring the Pioneers within three. Stonehill made a free throw with four seconds left to take a four-point lead, 82-78. Galette made a three-pointer at the buzzer, but it wasn't enough as Stonehill took the 82-81 final.
