Sacred Heart and CCSU meet for the first time this season

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart men's basketball team will play its second home game of the week on Saturday afternoon when they host Central Connecticut State in the Pitt Center at 2 PM. The Pioneers and Blue Devils face each other for the first time this season. Sacred Heart has a record of 12-13 overall and 5-5 in Northeast Conference play. Central is 6-18 on the season and 4-6 in the NEC.

  • Sacred Heart and Central meet for the first time this season in Northeast Conference action. Last season, the teams had one game against each other last season where the Pioneers won 74-66 at home in the Pitt Center.

  • Johnson leads the NEC in defensive rebounds with 156 and is fifth overall in the NEC in rebounds with 198, Galette is right behind at seventh overall with 177.
  • This season, Galette earned NEC Player of the Week once and has been a six-time Prime Performer.
  • Head Coach Anthony Latina is in his 10th season as the head coach of Sacred Heart.
  • Galette was named to the All-NEC preseason team.
