Of Note
Brown got out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter before graduate student Lydia Werlau cut the Sacred Heart deficit to 4-1 with a goal with five seconds left in the frame.

The Bears tallied the next five goals to build on their lead. Werlau and Emma Kittredge responded with back-to-back goals, but the Pioneers still trailed 9-3 at halftime.

The start of the third quarter was all the Pioneers as junior Kelly Nolan sparked a 4-0 run to make it a three-goal game, 10-7. Unfortunately for SHU, Brown responded with four consecutive goals that stretched into the beginning of the fourth quarter.

SHU scored the next three goals to bring the score close but it was not enough to make the comeback.

Werlau finished with a game-high four goals and matched career-high four draw controls. Kittredge and Reinold had two goals apiece.
