SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Aidan Carpenter scored a career-high 20 points and Joey Reilly matched his season-high 23 points, leading the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team to an 80-73 victory on the road at Le Moyne on Monday night.

Reilly tallied his second straight game with 20+ points, shooting 83.3% (5-6) from behind the arc. Carpenter had his second consecutive showing in double figures with a career-high 20 points.
Le Moyne opened the game with an 8-0 run. Sacred Heart hit back-to-back three-pointers from Reilly and Mike Sixsmith to bring the Pios within four, 13-9, at 12:51 in the first. A free throw for Raheem Solomon at 10:41 sparked a 14-3 run, capped by a Carpenter layup to put the Pioneers ahead, 25-22. The Dolphins answered with six straight points to regain the lead, 28-25.
Carpenter knocked down a wide-open three-pointer to tie the game at 28-28 at the five-minute mark in the first. Sobel made a layup to put SHU ahead, 30-28, but with four minutes left in the half, Le Moyne tied it up at 30-30. Sobel and Carpenter combined for the next four points for Sacred Heart to give the Pioneers a 34-30 advantage.
Le Moyne hit a jumper to pull within one, 35-34, with 1:17 left in the half, but Brendan McGuire made a layup to extend the Pioneers lead, 37-34 at the break.
Nico Galette hit a three to open the second half to put SHU ahead 40-34, and Carpenter extended the lead to eight with a layup at 16:14. The Dolphins answered with six straight points to pull within two at 14:09, but Solomon made two free throws to go ahead 49-45. Le Moyne answered again with a three-pointer to cut their deficit to one, 49-48.
Reilly hit a three to extend the SHU lead, 52-48, at 12:29 in the second, but just over a minute later the Dolphins tied the game at 52-52. From there, the Pioneers went on an 11-2 run to take a 63-54 lead.
Le Moyne kept the pressure coming as the Dolphins pulled within five, 63-58, but a trey from Reilly and a layup from Carpenter put the Pioneers up by 10, 68-58 with 5:06 left in the second.
The Dolphins were able to pull within seven with just over two minutes left in the game, but the Pioneers did not let up and led by as many as 10 points through the final minute for the 80-73 final on the road.
Sacred Heart scored 34 points from the bench and scored 17 points off turnovers.
