How it Happened:
  • The first half of this one started slower than others. Each team generated decent chances, but neither was able to find the back of the net. The Pioneers had six shots compared to Niagara's four.
  • The second half was a completely different story. Within the first 30 seconds, Rylee McGee scored her second goal of the season, putting the Pios up 1-0.
  • Building on that momentum, Morgan Bovardi, the program's all-time leading goal scorer, added to her season total in the 58th minute, finishing off a beautiful setup from Shea Kelleher to double the lead.
  • Thievon and the defense held it down from there, coasting to a 2-0 win
Of Note:
  • This five-game win streak is the longest in program history
  • Bovardi scored her ninth conference goal, leading the conference
  • Shea Kelleher earns her fourth assist of the year
  • Thievon earns her sixth clean sheet of the year and third consecutive

Up Next: The Pioneers are back in action at home on Wednesday, October 15th, as they take on Iona at 6:00 pm to continue their MAAC play.
