FAIRFIELD, Conn. – It was all Pioneers on Saturday afternoon as the Sacred Heart men's soccer team rolled past Canisius, 4-1, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action at Park Ave Field.

How it Happened:
Junior Danny Istambouli got the Pioneers started early, finishing a pass from first-year Johan Bermudez in the 14th minute to put SHU ahead 1-0. Canisius answered before halftime when Sydney Aggrey capitalized on a free kick to even the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Sacred Heart took over. In the 57th minute, Daniel Losfablos headed in an Istambouli free kick to regain the lead. Less than a minute later, Brady Poor scored off a Nacho Rullan pass to make it 3-1.
Rafa Matta sealed the victory in the 87th minute, scoring his first goal of the season off an assist from Javier Lopez Cayuela.
The Pioneers outshot the Golden Griffins 23-7, including a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.
