ST. ALBANS, Vt. – The Sacred Heart University women's cross country team put together a great performance at the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational on Sunday, finishing second out of four teams.
Graduate student
Grace Sousa led the charge for the Pioneers, claiming the win. Right behind her were
Alivia Schweibinz and
Grace Del Giorno, who finished second and third overall to give Sacred Heart a dominant trio at the top of the leaderboard.
Adriana Franzese,
Gabriella DeVito,
Emma Daley, and
Ryann Walsh rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers, capping off an impressive team effort that secured a solid runner-up finish.
Of Note:
- Schweibinz earned her second top-three finish
- Sousa now has two first-place finishes on the season
- Del Giorno finished third overall for the second time this season
