TYSONS, Va. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team secured game three to take the weekend series against Georgetown on Sunday afternoon, 6-3.
Peter Link blasted a three-run home run in the sixth to give SHU the lead.

How it Happened:
The Pios got ahead in the first with two runs.
Peter Link doubled to left center.
Gavin Donohue was then walked before
Tim McGuire doubled to left center to score Link. With bases loaded and one out,
Chuck Tallman grounded out in the infield to plate G. Donohue.
The Hoyas tallied a run in the second on a Pioneer error.
The teams battled through a quiet three innings until Georgetown tacked on two in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run home run to take a 3-2 lead.
Georgetown's advantage didn't last long as the Link hit a deep ball to center field for a three-run homer.
SHU secured the win in the ninth. With two outs and a runner on third, Link tabbed an RBI base hit to score
JW Fitzgerald.
The Pioneers return to action Friday, February 28
th, for a weekend series at Navy with the first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
