How it Happened
The Pioneers took advantage of Broncs' miscues in the second to get on the board first.
Steak Newman and
Joe Cilea reached base with walks, advancing to second and third on a wild pitch. Newman then scored on a wild pitch before Cilea scored on a throwing error by the catcher to take the 2-0 lead.
Rider tied things up in the bottom of the third with a two-run home run from Joey Tiroly.
The Broncs added another in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single. SHU got out of the inning after Cilea caught a runner stealing at second.
Ronan Donohue tied things up in sixth inning, plating Link with an RBI single to center.
However, the tie did not last long as Rider regained an untouched lead with an RBI double.
The Broncs added another in the eighth with an RBI base hit to seal a 5-3 win.
