Offensively, the first years got the Pioneers going in the third inning, scoring two runs. With the two runners on, Nathan Bowes tallied his first career hit to center field, plating both Yorke and Nolan to build a 2-0 lead.

The Knights scored their lone run in the bottom of the fourth on a Pio fielding error.

After a quiet fifth, SHU posted two more runs in the sixth with a Knight fielding error and a wild pitch for a 4-1 lead.

FDU could not halt the Pioneers in the seventh as they piled on 10 runs. First. the Pios took advantage of a fielding error as Alex Ungar reached first base, while Bowes and Nolan both scored. Then Ronan Donohue doubled to right center to drive Ungar and Gavin Donohue home.

For his first collegiate home run, Nolan plated three of his teammates with a grand slam to build a 12-1 lead.

To wrap up the very-long seventh inning, Bowes scored on a passed ball and Peter Link secured an RBI walk to ice a 14-1 win.
